This week I was in charge of putting together an Arts and Sports package with another person. I (naturally) wanted to be the arts person. I find this a little awkward at times but I like it because I am talking about things I really am interested in!
This story was one of those stories that comes together at the very last second. There are so many things about it that bother me (ie. B-ROLL!?) but it was actually our group’s best mark. (A+) I look freezing cold, which I definitely was.
This was my first package as a reporter. I was happy with the b-roll and the overall product, but we didn’t do as well as I’d hoped because it was somewhat biased. It was hard to get someone to say that they hated gelato or that there was no way this could bring the community together.
This is a story that I did while interning at the Kingston Whig-Standard. The written story is (in my humble opinion) adorable. The video is alright; I had to use iMovie, which I had never used. I also couldn’t figure out the tripod so it’s a bit shaky but nonetheless a good feel-good community story.
