VJ Search 2013

I apply for many jobs that I don't get, but I don't put them all over social media. It sucks putting yourself out there, but I represented myself the best I could! And I still like the video!

Nobody likes putting it all out there, but I’m proud of the video and I think it represents me well as a journalist and my potential as a TV personality.

In search for a job that would get me into the broadcast world… I decided to audition for the Much Music VJ Search.

I knew it was a long shot with all the super crazy, outgoing, pink-haired people out there… but decided to try anyways. I didn’t get chosen for the top 40, but that’s okay! I had a great time making the video with a few friends, and I got more experience in front of a camera. All the time spent in the studio is beneficial, and keeping me from getting rusty.

I’m still super proud of the audition tape that we put together.  I’m getting used to rejection, something that I never thought I’d be able to handle. Trying to get a foot in the door in this industry is actual hell, but I know it’ll happen sooner or later.

Watch the video!
